Other experiments of the infamous Beard-O Project.

This was a big beard-o project that i had been planning for awhile. I decided what the hell else do i have to do during my summer. I might as well grow out a beard, start some shit, wander around and see how people react. Better than you might expect...

Project: Half and Half

The one minute highlights reel!

The half beard and half a head of hair.

How to Create such a amazing and beautiful piece of facial art. First you have to start with a incredable man, the kind of man the could grow enough hair to put many bears to shame. Them you have to let him grow until you have a satisfactory beard.

Then you have to get someone to shave half your head. You could also do this yourself but i wouldn't recommend that route. I mean if you did it yourself i am sure the lines and cuts would be all off. Not to mention if i did it myself i would proabably cut off my own ear. Which i am a artist but i am not quite that extreme about the art of facial hair.

Then all that is left is to go into a room alone and ponder the world for a couple hours while trimming your beard and finally shaving off the oppisite half. This leaves you with many rashes and red marks on your face becasue your skin has grown accustiom to a beard the protects it and hides it from the harshness of this world.

Findings of the experiment:

The reactions were actually better than expected. (Perhaps part of the world is finally understanding the amazing beauty and freedom of facial art?)

That it takes a creative genius, or a madman to come up with these kinds of beard cuts. (Just wait till you see some of the styles i have in my head!)

The men that talked to me outside of female hearing range (approx: 3.5 miles) actually were rooting me on. They supported my one man war agaist all that keep the beard down. I even met a man that had tried this before but was force to shave and clean up after 20 minutes when his wife refused to sleep with him untill it was all gone.

Strangely it is a little bit of a chick magnet. I am not talking a strong one, but i definately had more random girls come up and talk to me so they could find out why I had done this with my hair. To bad they were all scary.

When the half and half style is worn into family reastraunts you get stares from mothers. With one instantly recognizable look in their eyes, "I want to take you to my preist right now and have him get the devil out of you!" I had some lady stare at me while i had dinner for 20 minutes. The worst experience of the entire project.

It amazes and delights young children. The looks of bewilderment that very young children would have with me as a walked around in the half and half was amusing.

The half and half doesn't make you bisexual as i had once persumed. I thought it might have for one moment but then i realized that Ben is just a attractive guy.

The half and half doesn't give you any of the special female powers. I assumed if i so blatantly tricked my own gender that i would grow breasts, the ability to change tempatures at any moment, and lessen my own horniness. Sadly none of this occured all though i might have had some mood swings.

I keep the half and half for 4 full days. I wore it to work, out to dinners, to movies, and with my friends. The very first reaction i got from it (from someone i didn't know) was while walking to work the morning after i prepared for it. A guy was riding by on his bike looked at me and did a double take as he realized what he saw. He almost fell off his bike. He then said "gggg gg good morning" and rode past. Because of the great support i recieved from everyone i kept this project going longer than planned. In fact after i shaved off the other half of my beard i keeped half a head of hair for another 4 days. This project was a over all success, and will conclude this summers beard-o project. Now i will wait until least expected during the school year to begin my next project, to bring humanity to another level that includes equal respect for the art of facial hair art.

As always,

Dan "Beard-O" Mayer
